Baltimore Ravens

The 2020 season for the Baltimore Ravens was the 25th Season of the team. The look and feel was to re-use the Always More Never Less assets due to the Covid-19 virus, photoshoots were difficult to have and the result was to re-use assets we had equity in. There was also a lot of uncertainty of whether or not fans would be allowed in the stadium so the creation of new assets was postponed.

24 hOURS GIFS

24 Hours Until Kickoff Gifs from the 2020 Season introduced a horror tone with some additional imagery like old lanterns, ravens, and a red to purple gradient map treatment to invoke the jump scares of a horror movie. The addition of a glitch + mirror effect to the gifs made it resemble the introduction video to the hit television show American Horror Story.

PRO BOWL GRAPHICS

Wallpaper Wednesday became a fan favorite with the Baltimore Ravens as it was up to the creative’s discretion and artistic expression over branding. Allowing the designers to be creative outside of the brand is important because it can create new ideas, keep designers motivated and away from feeling complacent, while also having the possibility to go viral for creativity. I stood firmly within my role that while the Wallpaper Wednesday portion could be sponsored, no wallpapers themselves would ever have a sponsor logo on them (aside from Schedule Release) because this was more about the art than the sponsor. If there was any confliction with a sponsor it could sacrifice creativity and delay in approvals.

The 2021 Offseason started by locking up current players into a longer term contracts as well as a few minor trades. Then a couple of bigger name guys were signed in Wide Receiver Sammy Watkins, a former 1st-Round Pick and long time consistent starter and former 1st-Round Offensive Lineman Kevin Zeitler.
